1 To me, music needs substance. A 10 minute piece that takes you on a musical journey with varying sounds, styles and subtle changes is much more worthwhile than a 3 minute song of catchy repetition. This is why for me, progressive music is head and shoulders above the rest, and why I like to lose myself in its journey for hours on end.
